Living Out A Dream
Welcome to Apollo's Lyre Drama Academy!
My name is Miss Danielle Cuthbert, Headmistress and founder of this wonderful academy. I am a verteran of the stage and performed numerous roles in both musical theatre and opera. When I came into some unexpected money from my family, I decided to fulfill my dream of creating a drama academy for students so that they might have the same chances that I did. I chose the name Apollo's Lyre since he is the god of music and all art forms. So, what makes us unique from other drama academies do you ask?
Well, for one, we have one of the largest academy theatres in the country, The Golden Oracle. This ornate theatre has housed performances ranging from Shakespeare to opera and has been where many students have made their performing debut. Having such a large building also allows students to experience what it is like to perform in a true theatre. At times throughout the year, it also has professional performances from touring companies. Our campus also has some of the larger rehearsal studios for both dance and theatre with modern facilities.
We also offer courses in dance, acting and musical theatre taught by some of the most renknowned teachers in the country. All of our teachers are considered to be the finest in their field and are also professional performers on the stage. Our academy also has courses for those students who prefer to learn the aspects of backstage theatre including costume, set design and lighting. Again, our teachers for these courses are experienced and have worked with professional companies.
When students wish to get away from their studies and a busy campus, we have a large and beautiful garden complete with paths and a fountain to offer them solitude. Our location is also just miles from the city of Boston so that on weekends students may take in the nightlife as well as sights during the day. We also have a student center for activities on campus as well. Our academy does have strict guidelines but we find it makes for better students.
So, if you are looking for a challenging but rewarding environment then please consider Apollo's Lyre Drama Academy! Simply fill out an application and submit it to our administration. We look forward to preparing you for a career in professional theatre!

Stirring On Mars « Result #2 on Mar 11, 2009, 11:40pm »
The US finally sent the first manned space mission to Mars. The spacecraft gently touched down and the astronaut descended and tested the atmosphere. Low and behold it was safe for people to breathe. He removed his space suit and exited the spacecraft. He was amazed to find himself in a lush green valley surrounded with beautiful wooded hills. He hiked for some distance and came upon a beautiful little white cottage with a lush green lawn surrounded by a white picket fence like something out of Better Homes and Gardens. He walked up to the front door and found it open. He walked inside, looked around and hearing noises from the kitchen, he went back there. WOW, to his amazement he saw the most beautiful blonde he had ever seen standing over a large pot on the stove. Inside the pot was a gooey mess that she was stirring with a large spoon. As he watched she kept stirring and stirring.
After a couple hours he finally asked her what she was doing. She replied that she was having a baby. He was quite skeptical but after a couple more hours of stirring she reached down into the gooey mess and pulled out a beautiful baby girl. He told her that was really amazing but that was not the way it was done on Earth.
She asked, "How do you do it on Earth?"
With a twinkle in his eyes he said come on back to the bedroom and I'll show you. After an hour of the wildest sex he had ever experienced he lay back exhausted and lit up a cigarette.
I first heard this story a few years ago from a girl I had met in New York's Greenwich Village.wow power leveling, Probably the story is one of those mysterious bits of folklore that reappear every few years, to be told a new in one form or another. However, I still like to think that it really did happen, somewhere, sometime.
¡¡¡¡They were going to Fort Lauderdalethree boys and three girls and when they boarded the bus, they were carrying sandwiches and wine in paper bags, wow power leveling, dreaming of golden beaches as the gray cold of New York vanished behind them.
¡¡¡¡As the bus passed through New Jersey, they began to notice Vingo. He sat in front of them, dressed in a plain, ill-fitting suit, never moving, his dusty face masking his age. He kept chewing the inside of his lip a lot, frozen into some personal cocoon of silence.
¡¡¡¡Deep into the night, outside Washington, the bus pulled into Howard Johnson's, and everybody got off except Vingo. He sat rooted in his seat, and the young people began to wonder about him, trying to imagine his life: perhaps he was a sea captain, a runaway from his wife, an old soldier going home. When they went back to the bus,wow gold, one of the girls sat beside him and introduced herself.
¡¡¡¡¡°We're going to Florida,¡± she said brightly.¡° I hear it's really beautiful.¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°It is, ¡± he said quietly, as if remembering something he had tried to forget.
¡¡¡¡¡°Want some wine?¡± she said. He smiled and took a swig. He thanked her and retreated again into his silence. After a while, she went back to the others, and Vingo nodded in sleep.
¡¡¡¡In the morning, they awoke outside another Howard Johnson's,and this time Vingo went in. The girl insisted that he join them. He seemed very shy, and ordered black coffee and smoked nervously as the young people chattered about sleeping on beaches.wow power leveling, When they returned to the bus, the girl sat with Vingo again, and after a while, slowly and painfully, he told his story. He had been in jail in New York for the past four years, and now he was going home.
¡¡¡¡¡°Are you married?¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°I don't know.¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°You don't know?¡± she said.
¡¡¡¡¡°Well, when I was in jail I wrote to my wife,¡± he said. ¡° I told her that I was going to be away a long time, and that if she couldn't stand it, if the kids kept asking questions, if it hurt too much, well, she could just forget me, I'd understand. Get a new guy, I saidshe¡®s a wonderful woman, really somethingand forget about me. I told her she didn't have to write me for nothing. And she didn¡®t. Not for three and a half years.¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°And you're going home now, not knowing?¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°Yeah,¡± he said shyly. ¡° Well, last week, when I was sure the parole was coming through, I wrote her again. We used to live in Brunswick, just before Jacksonville, and there's a big oak tree just as you come into town. I told her that if she'd take me back, she should put a yellow handkerchief on the tree, and I'd get off and come home. If she didn't want me, forget itno handkerchief, and I'd go on through.¡±
¡¡¡¡¡°Wow,¡± the girl exclaimed. ¡°Wow.¡±
¡¡¡¡She told the others, wow gold, and soon all of them were in it, caught up in the approach of Brunswick, looking at the pictures Vingo showed them of his wife and three children. The woman was handsome in a plain way, the children still unformed in the much-handled snapshots.
¡¡¡¡Now they were 20 miles from Brunswick, and the young people took over window seats on the right side, waiting for the approach of the great oak tree. The bus acquired a dark, hushed mood, full of the silence of absence and lost years. Vingo stopped looking, tightening his face into the ex-con's mask, as if fortifying himself against still another disappointment.
¡¡¡¡Then Brunswick was ten miles, and then five. wow gold,Then, suddenly, all of the young people were up out of their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances of joy. All except Vingo.
¡¡¡¡Vingo sat there stunned, looking at the oak tree. It was covered with yellow handkerchiefs20 of them, 30 of them, maybe hundreds, a tree that stood like a banner of welcome billowing in the wind. As the young people shouted, the old con rose and made his way to the front of the bus to go home.

“Dark? Oh it is indeed that. However must students seem to embrace it because of all the violence and killing. They choose to see that instead of a message of revenge and having too much power. Of course in the end those characters get what they deserve but why not some good ole violence to accompany it?” Stephen then let out a laugh. “Torture? Well, I must admit that I have never heard A Midsummer Night’s Dream being used as a torture device before. But…I do suppose after some time it could drive someone quite mad.”
Oh that lovely smile! But does it mean that she is up to something? Oh good lord she’s crossed her legs! I cannot be her tutor! I simply cannot!
“What? Oh date male students? Why of course. Why not? There is nothing improper about that. However teachers engaging in acts of a….more than friendly nature are not. But…we must remember that I did not make these rules.”
The thought of you with another man shall kill me!
“Fireworks? Yes, well I am certain that we could. After all the way that we have been hitting off we….” Stephen paused and a confused look came over his face. “Did you say…skin…skintight dress?” Does this girl truly have no mercy?
“I…I would think that would be a little uncomfortable when you sit. It would be rubbing against…” He shook his head. “I mean of course that is entirely your decision.”
With my luck she wouldn’t wear any underwear either! Oh now I can’t get that image out of my head! Damn it all to hell!
“A motorcycle? Why yes I have though it has been sometime. So we are both strangers in this strange place? Well what better way to explore it than with someone who is in your same situation? I think it could be quite the adventure. Errr….do you think it would be appropriate for us to ride on the motorcycle together though? After those….RULES that we discussed?”
The thought of being that close to you might send me over the edge!

RPG Announcement « Result #5 on Oct 7, 2008, 12:42pm »
Hey everyone, I just wanted to post this in regards to my RL lately. The week of performances for “Sweeney Todd” really drained me and I am just recuperating from that. On top of that I also fell down the stairs during rehearsal which caused pain to my right shoulder and put me out for about a week. To add to this I have also been going through a bout of depression due to my current living situation. I apologize from the bottom of my heart for not posting and such but as you can see it has been difficult. I do not want to say that this rpg is dead by any means but just know that from me personally posts will be slow until some changes in RL occur. If you are looking for an rpg that is fast paced then please feel free to quit and I shall hold nothing against you or you may stay if you wish. I hope things shall change soon and again sorry about this

Melanie Ann Chase
Melanie almost jumped out of her seat, when her pocket started to vibrate. Her hand went right to her chest, feeling her heart pounding. She slowly took a deep breath, as she glanced all around her.Guess I must've dozed off for a bit, Melanie thought to herself. More people have arrived. She is feeling a bit tired, since she couldn't sleep last night. The argument between her and her mother kept replaying itself in her head, almost like a broken record.
"You can't be shy all your life, you know," her mother said, "Look at your brother, he went to Apollo's Lyre and made lots of new friends. Why can't you be more outgoing like him?" She hated being compared to her brother, she feels like nothing she ever does is good enough. It's not easy living in his shadow, with people saying how proud they are and what a great guy he is. But hello!, what about me?, Melanie silently mused to herself. She stares down at the notebook in her lap, the page like a clean canvas.

Xandria actually let out a brief laugh when she heard his opinion on Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. “I will of course have to agree that Macbeth was a little bit too dark for my tastes. I would’ve preferred something a little less dark. As for the other one, and it being a bad acid trip in the woods, it happens to be one that I would rather not have to read again. My English teacher in High School probably just wanted to torture us…for no reason at all.
She then smiles at him after hearing what he said when it came to a private tutor when it came to Romero and Juliet. She then made a move to cross her legs. “Oh, I am very certain that I can provide you with the right incentive.” She whispered. “That is, if I can find the perfect person to serve as my tutor.”
Stop it Xandria…stop before this leads to something that you won’t regret.
A part of her completely ignored that thought, because she already knew that she wouldn’t regret where this might lead. But, was that confusion she heard in his voice? Oh no, she couldn’t have that…he can be confused all he wanted to afterwards. But, then again maybe one of the male students could manage to keep her occupied until Stephen decided what he wanted. But, none of them would look as handsome as Stephen and she wanted to know exactly how he would treat one of his lovers. Was he the type that would be gentle…or the type that would be rough in bed? Would he tend to the woman’s needs first, or take her without a second thought?
Oh, I might as well go ahead and make him a tad bit jealous.
“So…does this mean that while you are making up your mind that I can date one of the male students?” She asked him hiding a smile, before adding more. “But, I can completely understand you not wanting to lose your job.”
I just want you to imagine me with other men, instead of you Stephen. Let’s see if you can handle the fact that I’m with someone else.
“I happen to know that I am such a person.” She replied not bothering to tell him that she hadn’t even started to seduce him yet. No, that would happen later…much later when they weren’t surrounded by so many people. He was lucky that this place was crowded and that she was getting way too hot to sit here anymore. “As I said, I am sure that I can wait for your answer, even though I know that we would create great fireworks together. And, since I like you, I won’t wear that skintight black dress that I was planning to wear in class.”
And, not I will stop flirting with you…for now.
She was starting to notice how uncomfortable he was at the moment. So, she wouldn’t tell him that she had also agreed to join him in their private shower, sometime in the near future. “Tell me, Stephen have you ever rode a motorcycle before. If not them you can follow me…but I’m afraid that I haven’t had time for sightseeing yet, even though I just arrived a day ago.
