 Forum Rules
« Thread Started on Mar 11, 2007, 1:41pm »

1. All characters must be approved before they are allowed to
participate. All made-up characters must have a bio before they will be considered for approval. ALL CHARACTERS MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE!

2. In order to keep the storyline moving please make sure you post at least twice a week. Exceptions for real life situations can be made but must be made aware to the owner. Failure to notify the owner may result in you losing your character. If you end up having to leave the role-play, you will have the choice of either taking your character with you or leaving it in the role-play for someone else to play.

3. You must be at least 16 years of age to join. On your profile you must indicate your REAL age or you shall be deleted! Let's try and keep the honesty policy here folks! If I find out that you are lying about your age you will be deleted without warning!

4. There shall be no excessive language, graphic sex or violence in this rpg. I do not believe it is necessary and we also have minors. IF you do have a couple which wish to have sex then please fade to black. Should anyone abuse this rule, you shall be deleted without warning!

5. When you join you shall have TWO weeks in which to create a character. If in that time you have not created a character, you will be PMd to be reminded. If we receive no answer, then you shall be deleted. We believe that two weeks is plenty of time in which to come up with a character. NO LURKERS SHALL BE PERMITTED!

6. When posting to another character, kindly give the other person at least 24 hours notice to respond before moving on. Some people have more active lives than others so please take that into consideration, thank you!

7. Please do not move another person's character or put words in their mouth without permission from the person playing them. Don't always assume their character will do something that you THINK. You wouldn't want someone to do that with your personal character, right?

8. This role-play encourages feedback and participation from all its members. There will be a basic storyline, yes but that doesn't mean that things cannot be added. HOWEVER any ideas should be discussed with the owner or moderators BEFORE they are posted. To just add things without clearing them could cause trouble for the storyline.

9. Any posts not relating to the ongoing storyline should be posted in the forum for OOC discussions

10. You cannot kill off another person's character without their
express permission. You may wound a character but to the point where they can easily recover. So, no physical things like dismemberment without permission from the person who plays that character!

11. No god-molding or all powerful characters. These kind of characters are boring and every character must have weaknesses of some sort. After all, they are human, right? No immortals unless it has been discussed with the moderators.

12. Please try to avoid one-liner posts! This is a personal pet
peeve of the owner. If you are in a situation where you can't do much for fear of moving someone else's character, then maybe add some things to your post such as what your character is feeling etc. Be creative! But PLEASE no one-liners if possible! You can also have the option of comboing with another player via MSN, AOL or Yahoo! Messenger in order to prevent this from occurring. ONE PARAGRAPH PER POST MINIMUM! If you are not fulfilling this requirement then you will be warned via PM to fix it. After three warnings you will be deleted!

13. This group is not meant for mud slinging or airing personal
problems with other members. IF you do have a personal problem with a fellow member please email and speak to them directly or contact the owner at phantomsprotege@hotmail.com. PLEASE do not
post any complaints in a public forum, thank you!

14. If you chose to leave the RPG please email the owner at
phantomsprotege@hotmail.com with your intent. PLEASE do
not just leave as it can make a difference in the storyline, thank
you!

15. Communication is vital for a role-play to be successful!
Therefore don't hesitate to discuss any story ideas you may have! And also don't hesitate to ask questions! We can all learn from one another.

16. Any members failing to comply with any of these rules could result in being removed from the RPG. Any questions? Please email the owner at phantomsprotege@hotmail.com

17. No auditions are required in order to play characters. HOWEVER should I feel that the person playing the character is lacking in general role playing skills and spelling, I can choose to remove them if I wish.

18. If you have not posted in a month(and are currently part of a thread/storyline) and have NOT emailed me in regards to a reason, your character will be deleted! I believe that a month is plenty of time for someone to either post or at least email with a reason as to why they can't post. Having to wait for people can hold up scenes and storylines and that can lead to the death of an rpg which I will NOT allow! So, please as a courtesy to the group AND to the people you are in a storyline with, make sure you inform us of your intentions!

19. In regards to made up characters that are related to any characters, I have no problem with that. BUT what I do ask is that you confer with the member playing that particular canon so that there are no surprises. After all, it's only fair right? Nothing worse than finding out your character has a brother/sister or other kind of relative and you have no idea about it.

21. Any banners used for signatures MUST be character related only! IF you wish to use any kind of personal pic, you can put it as an avatar in your profile only. After all, this is a role play that involves characters and not us personally, right? Any member not having the right kind of signature shall be PMd to be reminded. And then if they don't take it down, it shall be deleted. Also banners for signatures must be NO larger than 600 x 120!

22. There will not be a limit to how many characters a member can have. HOWEVER, the member must make certain that they post for all of them. This means that you must be able to periodically check threads that your character is in to be make sure posts are not needed. If you feel that you cannot keep up with posting for all your characters, then you should consider limiting yourself. Since this is a fast moving rpg, keeping scenes moving is a must. This also coincides with the twice a week posting rule. ALL CHARACTERS MUST HAVE SEPARATE ACCOUNTS!

23. This rule is in regards to threads on the board. If you see a thread that you wish to join PLEASE PM the people involved in it BEFORE posting! There are many of us who confer with storyline ideas for threads and work hard on them. It truly disrupts things when people just jump in without asking and can possibly change the storyline altogether. So, again, we don't mind if people wish to join in threads that are going on but PLEASE ask before doing so! Thank you! Any threads that are 'crashed' without permission, shall have those particular posts deleted

25. But most importantly…..HAVE FUN!

*Some addition rules may be added as I see fit*
